The missing swan

Villa ØyMa is a old swiss styled villa that has changed over time. When the dining room was extended, the room got a new centre, while the original ceiling rose stayed in place, now to one side of the dining table.

The Missing Swan is made for the room as it is today. Its organic form, shaped by movement, reaches from the ceiling rose out over the table and brings balance to the room. The structure and details built up over the years keep their place.

The lamp tells a playful story of a swan flying through the dining room. The idea was inspired by the owners, an anaesthetist and a flight mechanic.
